Summary

Description
English: There are nine very artistic pagodas along the line near the famous Guhyeshwari temple, about 1 km from the Pashutinath temple in Kathmandu. Out of which there are 4 big pagodas and 5 pagodas. The four large pagodas are of a very artistic style. The other five small pagodas are also artistic. These shrines on the banks of the Bagmati are just before reaching the Guhyeshwari temple. Guhyeshwari asked many people in the premises to get information about this Shivalaya. But it is not clear who built these pagodas and who built them. A local said that these Shivalayas may have been built during the reign of the Rana. After that Pashupati asked a priest but he could not give a satisfactory answer. But in any case, these pagodas are very old. There are four dome-style Shivalayas, each with Nandi and Trishul.
