Summary
[edit]DescriptionShiva Temple of Aatchala style at Nijbalia in Howrah district 05.jpg |
English: Terracotta panels on walls of Shiva Temple of Aatchala style at Nijbalia in Howrah district. The central arch panel which displayed battle between Rama and Ravana does not exist anymore. The wall and arch still have terracotta work on them which have been painted in an unskilled manner. As per its foundation stone, this south facing Aatchala temple was built in 1776.
Though the Wiki exploration programme of Howrah was conducted on 7th March 2021, this photograph was taken at a much later date on 23th January 2022.
