English: Ex-GC Robinson 4-6-0 at Sheffield Victoria. Eking out its last days as station pilot is the last of the earlier Robinson 4-6-0s, LNER Class B2 (later B19). This one was built in 3/13 as GC No. 427 'City of London', was LNER No. 5427, then in 1946 Nos. 1476 then 1492 - but its name had been transferred to streamlined B17 No. 2870 in 9/37; it was withdrawn in 11/47. |
