Summary

Description	Young saltmarsh sparrow chicks in the nest. Chicks emerge from the egg with a wispy coat of downy feathers. Over the next 9-10 days, they will grow in more feathers that help them keep warm and escape predators. Nest monitoring should always be performed by trained researchers with proper permitting.
