Français : Vitrail de l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Jean-sur-Vilaine (35). Vitrail patriotique de 1922. Dans la partie supérieure de la verrière le Sacré-Cœur, la Vierge Marie et saint Jean-Baptiste, patron de la paroisse, encadrent l'église de Saint-Jean sur Vilaine et la chapelle de La Peinière en Saint-Didier, haut lieu de pélerinage ; dans la partie basse un soldat mort enroulé dans le drapeau repose au fond d'une tranchée du front ; en bas à gauche les armoiries de la famille de La Chevasnerie, maire de l'époque se trouvent en bas à gauche. Le vitrail porte l'inscription "Aux enfants de Saint-Jean-sur-Vilaine morts pour la France 1914-1918" ; un soldat de 14-18 décédé et aussi représenté. Ce vitrail a été réalisé par Georges Merklen (décédé en 1925), maître-verrier à Angers. |
