Latviešu: Laikā, kad pēdējais ledus laikmets bija atkāpies uz ziemeļiem, atstājot plašu līdzenumu starp Līgatni un Siguldu, tai vietā sāka veidoties purvs, ko mūsdienās sauc par Sudas purvu. Daļu no senajiem zemes nogulumiežiem ledāji bija nostūmuši tālāk, radīdami Vidzemes augstieni, bet šeit, nākamā purva pamatos, atseguši ģipša iežus. Pārmitrajos apstākļos virs salīdzinoši plānās morēnas kārtas segtajiem ģipšiem no augu atliekām veidojās kūdra. Purva ūdeņi līdz ar organiskajām skābēm no kūdras šķīdināja ģipšus. Ģipšu slāņos veidojās izskalojumi un nelielas plaisas, pa kurām ūdens ar izšķīdušo ģipsi plūda uz zemāk esošo Jūdažu apkārtni, kur izlauzās virspusē jau avotu veidā.No kūdras paņemtajām organiskajām skābēm sadarbībā ar baktērijām notika reakcija ar izšķīdušo ģipsi, atbrīvojoties sērūdeņradim. Šī sastāvdaļa lika ūdenim iegūt specifisku aromātu. Sērūdeņradis ir indīga gāze, taču vienlaikus tas ir arī ārstniecisks. Avotu ūdenim ārstniecisko vērtību piešķīra arī radušies sulfāti (arī to sastāvā ir no ģipša iegūtais sērs).
