English: Figure. This Figure highlights the use of the osmium-μCT technicque with advanced image processing to quantify marrow adipose tissue (MAT). In this figure, running exercise is demonstrated to suppress MAT despite PPARγ agonist treatment.The lipid binder osmium is imaged via μCT (A ) in n =5 overlaid images per experimental group. Quantification of osmium as MAT/ bone volume in the whole femur is shown. a, significant effect due to Rosi. b, significant due to exercise. Rosi=rosiglizaone, CTL=control, E=exercise.
