Description
English: This is the temple of Ramchandra in a high place after going to the right side of Battis Putali passing through Gaushala of Kathmandu. Influenced by the Mughal style temples of India, the temple was built by Colonel Sanak Singh in 1928. Inside the temple are full-length artistic statues of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Bharat and Shatrughan made of Shaligram stone. There are dome style Shivalayas named Sanamsinheshwar, Shardeshwar, Laxmi Kumareshwar, Harsh Kumareshwar and Yashodharadeshwar in this temple premises. This temple of Ramchandra is said to have been flown by 32 butterflies and placed on the throne of the famous King Bikramaditya of India. As this place is famous for justice and has 32 butterflies, this place also has a mythical herd of thirty-two butterflies. This temple attracts a large number of devotees on festivals like Ram Navami, Panchami, Sita Jayanti and Krishnashtami. This temple of Ramchandra is in a very pleasant atmosphere, high place, peaceful atmosphere. As it is located in a high part, the view of the valley can be seen from this temple. This temple decorated with gardens is very clean and beautiful.
