English: The Tuareg women from the Kel Ajjer people are preparing the evening meal. Here the housewife and her daughter are cooking couscous for the family and several guests. Spices are crushed with a mortar. The millet flour is checked for coarse tubers and then sieved. The tomato sauce is heated on the fire. There is cooking oil in the canister and water in the tea kettle. The goat meat is still waiting to be processed. Cooking takes a long time because most of the food is not pre-processed.

Die Tuareg-Frauen der Volksgruppe der Kel Ajjer bereiten die Abendmahlzeit zu. Hier kocht die Hausfrau mit ihrer Tochter für die Familie und mehrere Gäste Kuskus. Mit der Mörserkeule werden Gewürze zerstossen. Das Hirsemehl wird nach groben Knollen abgesucht und anschliessend gesiebt. Auf dem Feuer wird die Tomatensosse erhitzt. Im Kanister ist Speiseöl, im Teekessel Wasser. Das Ziegenfleisch wartet noch auf die Verarbeitung. Das Kochen nimmt viel Zeit in Anspruch, weil die meisten Nahrungsmittel nicht schon vorverarbeitet sind.

Les femmes touarègues du peuple Kel Ajjer préparent le repas du soir. Ici, la ménagère et sa fille préparent du couscous pour la famille et plusieurs invités. Les épices sont broyées au mortier. La farine de mil est recherchée pour les gros tubercules puis tamisée. La sauce tomate est chauffée sur le feu. Il y a de l'huile de cuisson dans le bidon et de l'eau dans la bouilloire. La viande de chèvre attend toujours d'être transformée. La cuisson prend beaucoup de temps car la plupart des aliments ne sont pas déjà prétraités. |
