Description
Français : Pont Lavigueur, Québec
« Le pont qui fait le lien entre Stadacona et la Pointe-aux-Lièvres a favorisé le développement de ce hameau dès le XIXe siècle. Ce pont, appelé Bickell, cesse d’être à page à la fin du XIXe siècle. Il fait alors l’objet de nombreuses discussions pour savoir qui de la Ville de Québec ou de Limoilou va payer pour son entretien. Le pont en bois est démoli pour faire place à un pont en fer qui portera le nom du maire de l’époque, Lavigueur. La construction du pont permet dorénavant de faire circuler le tramway qui mène à l’Exposition provinciale sur la rue principale de Stadacona. » – Réjean Lemoine
