Summary
[edit]DescriptionPlate 36—Stand and Pulpits for Melchisedek Priesthood in Main Assembly Room.png |
English: The view presented herewith shows with some detail, one of the end stands in the Main Assembly Room already described. The stand is really a series of four terraces, on each of which is a central lectern with a smaller table on either side. The highest terrace is under a canopy, on the front of which is inscribed the particular order of Priesthood to which the stand belongs. The accompanying picture shows the stand at the east end of the great room, which is reserved for the officers of the Higher or Melchisedek Priesthood.
The lecterns with the smaller book-tables and all allied wood-work of the stand are hand carved. The room is finished in white and gold. |
