Description
English: Plaque for Károly Mészáros, a Hungarian writer, historical and journalist. The plaque can be found in Hajdúdorog, Hungary on the wall of the town's library.

The text on the plaque says: "Károly Mészáros, born in Hajdúdorog, July 20th, 1821 - died in Zavadka, February 2nd, 1890. Local historian, attorney, writer, fighter for the words of freedom. Historical writer of the National Government during the 1848/49 revolution and freedom fight. Supporter of the case of the Hungarian nationalities, researcher of the history of the Ruthens and supporter of their emerge.

Author of the "Historical monograph of the free Hajduk". Erected for the 20th anniversary of the naming of the Municipal Library in the year 2011."
Magyar: Mészáros Károly emléktáblája a hajdúdorogi városi könyvtár falán. Az emléktábla szövege a következő: "Mészáros Károly, Hajdúdorog 1821. július 20. - Zavadka, 1890. február 2. Helytörténész, ügyvéd, író, a szabadságeszmék harcosa. 1848-49-ben a Nemzeti Kormány megbízott történet jegyzője. A nemzetiségek ügyének támogatója, a ruszinok történetének kutatója, felemelkedésük zászlóvivője. „A szabad hajdúk történeti monográphiája” szerzője. A Városi Könyvtár névfelvételének 20. évfordulója tiszteletére állíttatta a Mészáros Károly Városi Könyvtár 2011-ben."
