Hunting Kit and Equipment. 65 Lloyd of Glasnevin returning from Otter-huntingattended by three men neatly dressed in scarletcoats and white trousers, with long spears, uponwhich were suspended three huge Otters. Furcaps, thigh-boots, and trousers have happilyfollowed the spear or Otter-grains intooblivion. The old-fashioned pot or bowler hat, usuallyworn white or grey, is still retained by the Cheriton,Mr. Hastings Clays, and the Culmstock; but in allother hunts the cloth or flannel cap, either of thedeerstalker, or double-peaked, or the Portland shape, is worn. In very hot weather a panama,with the hunt riband or a band of the same colouras the jacket or tie, is often adopted.
