Description
Français : Photographie prise en juillet 1940 par Victorine Darré. Elle montre une scène de récolte de gerbes de blé prise dans l'ancien champ de Candaouan (Borie) de Bourréac (Canton de Lourdes-Est) occupé aujourd'hui par les maisons Fialho et Worgague. De gauche à droite Maryse Darré, Madeleine Nadau, Gertrude Azens et Marie Noguez (dite Marie de Lahaille). La photo avait été prise pour être envoyée à Jean Darré, alors qu'il était prisonnier dans un camp à Verdun (avant qu'il ne s'en évade ce qui lui permit d'échapper à un transfert en Allemagne). Prise dans un contexte dramatique (après la mort d'Amédée Ladebèze, père de Victorine, en juin 1940 et après le choc de la défaite de 1940), la photographie témoigne de la solidarité locale et du travail des femmes en l'absence des hommes prisonniers.
