Deutsch: Margarethenkirche (Krofdorf) Das Epitaph, 2010 restauriert von Diplomrestauratorin Sabine Kuypers aus Biebertal-Fellingshausen, gilt Barthel Kolb, von 1606 bis 1621 Rentmeister zu Gleiberg, gestorben zu Gleiberg am 14. März 1621, und seiner Frau Anna Elisabeth geb. (Braun genannt) Hell, gestorben am 24. Mai 1634 zu Weilburg.
Außerdem dargestellt sind 5 Söhne und 5 Töchter des Ehepaares: 2 kleine Söhne über dem Kopf des Vaters, die wohl früh verstarben; darüber 3 erwachsene Söhne in schwarzer Kleidung, von denen die rechten beiden durch Kreuzchen als verstorben gekennzeichnet sind; rechts neben der Mutter 2 Töchter als liegende Wickelkinder, von denen nur die Köpfe sichtbar sind, das untere mit Kreuzchen versehen; über der Mutter 3 erwachsene Töchter in schwarzer Kleidung, davon die linke ohne Haube (also noch unverheiratet) und ohne Kreuzchen, die beiden rechts daneben mit Haube und Kreuzchen. Vor den Figuren der Eheleute die jeweiligen Wappen Kolb (Ehemann) und (Braun gen.) Hell (Ehefrau). Seit Dezember 2010 wieder in der Margarethenkirche, wo sie weit über 200 Jahre ihren angestammten Platz hatten, bevor Adrian Freiherr van der Hoop die beiden Epitaphe kaufte, sie 1880 restaurieren ließ und ihnen auf dem Hofgut Schmitte einen neuen Platz zuwies. Manfred Schmidt, Wettenberg-Krofdorf, fand mit seinem Sohn Andreas 2006 zufällig auf der Schmitte die beiden Epitaphe in der Vorhalle des Wohnhauses, dem sogenannten Haus am Bach der Dr. Dorothea Freifrau van der Hoop in Rodheim, wieder. Der dann folgende Kauf der Epitaphe gilt als Projekt der Denkmalstiftung für die evangelischen Kirchen in Krofdorf und Gleiberg. [1] |
