[edit]DescriptionMTL bus 1070 (B926 KWM), MMT Rear Engined 50 event (2).jpg |
New in September 1984 to Merseyside PTE, this beauty is currently preserved in the MTL Wirral Peninsula livery. This livery is somewhat familar to me in Manchester as MTL Holdings and GM Buses made moves in each other's cities (MTL started trading in Manchester under the name MTL Manchester, GM Buses South and GM Buses North in Liverpool under the names Birkenhead & District and GMN Liverpool respectivley) between late 1993 and June 1995. However, it does bring back memories for me during my penultimate and final year in school as at least Manchester and Liverpool.......and the rest of the UK benefited by having a wider variety of proper buses......unlike now with their boring Enviros, Volvos and Darts of today! :( |
