Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Liu Hua Tower, the Pomegranate Blossom Tower, is an ancient Chinese tower in Dongguan built around the Wan Li era of the Ming Dynasty. It was built with superstitious hope to prevent the Dong Jiang river from flooding, which had plagued the locals for centuries. It had been repaired 3 times in 1934, 1982 and 1999 respectively. The location was also a battle field in WWII between the local communist militia and the Japanese army.
