We should like to show our friends the difference between a Hindu houseand a Christian home. The Bible has proved its truth by its uplifting powerin the lives of our people. Some of us have been permitted to see the growthin several successive generations of Christians, and it is safe to say that theChristian community possesses a great advantage over any other in thatland. As yet, they count but few among the great; but in numbers, educa-tion and spiritual developinent a constant advance is seen. When a manliecomes a Christian he starts on the road to the highest civilization, andthe Indian Christian communitv is following that universal law that thosewho follow Christ rise in the scale of humanity. We readin a Bombay paper that at the recent International Congress of Women inLondon, a paper was read by Miss Mary Bhore, of Bona, on The HigherEducation of Women in Bombay ; and the remark is made that the IndianChristian community is honored in having such ladies as Miss Bhore andMiss Sorabji to i-epresent their country.
