Détail du plafond de la salle du trône Karan Mahal est une partie ancienne du palais. Elle date du XVIIème siècle et a subi l'influence du syle moghol (marbre blanc, stucs, corniche large, galerie avec des arcs polylobés reposant sur des colonnes ventrues..) ____________ Le fort Junagarh a été édifié entre 1588 et 1593 par le Raja Rai Singh, général de l'armée de l'empereur moghol Akbar. Ce bâtiment militaire très imposant comprend plusieurs palais qui ont été agrandis jusqu'en 1937 par les maharajas de Bikaner. |
