Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Scan of a drawing by Georges Méliès, showing Red Riding Hood standing in triumph over a slain wolf, while her family and their bakery staff salute her. The pedestal on which Red Riding Hood stands is made of large butter pots and a giant pastry, while the background is a classical grotto of stalactites and a vast rococo shell. The handwritten caption on the drawing reads Le Petit Chaperon Rouge - Apotheose - 8e Tableau (Red Riding Hood - Apotheosis - 8th Tableau). The source webpage, from the Bibliothèque nationale de France, indicates that this drawing was made by Méliès in preparation for his film.
