Description
English: Late Early Medieval to Medieval Buckle: Almost complete cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle with narrowed strap bar and zoomporphic detail. The frame is in the form of two stylised biting animal heads to either end of the strap bar although most of the detail has been lost due to wear and corrosion

Buckles of this type are typicaly dated c.1000-1200.
