Title
Lake Eacham
Description
English: Lake Eacham is a volcanic lake on the Atherton Tableand in North Queensland. It was formed around 9100 years ago when water flooded a crater. There are no streams into or out of the lake - water enters and leaves only by rain and evaporation. The local Indigenous people call it Yidyam or Wiinggina. It has been protected since 1888 and is now part of Crater Lakes National Park.
