Summary

Description	La Porte de la Valette ou City Gate à Malte L'aménagement de la porte de la Valette a été conçu par le "Renzo Piano Building Workshop" en 2009 Le pont a été restauré sur le modèle des dimensions de la porte d'origine datant de 1633. La nouvelle porte refuse toute notion décorative superflue, elle restitue aux remparts leur profondeur et leur puissance. L'entrée, de forme évasée vers le haut, est marquée par deux mats en acier de 25 mètres de hauteur. Les lames d'acier visent à souligner la fracture entre le présent et le passé. Pour cette réalisation architecturale, une carrière a été ouverte à Gozo. A l'arrière de la porte, on voit une partie du nouveau Parlement de Malte construit également par RPBW La Valette a été classée sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco.
