Català: La Fia-Faia és un element inclòs a l'inventari del patrimoni cultural immaterial del Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, inventari realitzat per Institut del Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial (IPACIM).
La Fia-faia és una tradició nadalenca d’origen precristià que se celebra el 24 de desembre al municipi de Bagà i també, ja fora del Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, a Sant Julià de Cerdanyola. De manera sintètica podríem dir que és una processó de torxes que baixa des d’un punt determinat de la muntanya fins al poble, on les torxes acaben cremant en una o més fogueres. La Fia-faia és una festa clarament relacionada amb el solstici d'hivern, tant per la data en què se celebra com pel moment del dia i per la presència del foc. Això fa pensar que el seu origen es remunta a milers d'anys enrere, segurament a l'època prehistòrica. En època romana se celebrava per aquestes mateixes dates el Dies Natalis Solis Invicti o Dia del Naixement del Sol Invicte, que posteriorment el cristianisme va agafar com a base per a establir el dia del naixement de Jesucrist, l'actual Nadal. A diverses poblacions de Catalunya s'ha pogut documentar que abans de la Guerra Civil de 1936-1939, per Nadal es feien fogueres que hom anomenava "falles" i a Vallcebre encara es manté aquesta tradició, que rep el nom de Foc de Nuet.
English: La Fia-Faia is an element included in the inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, an inventory carried out by the Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage (IPACIM).
The Fia-faia is a Christmas tradition of pre-Christian origin that is celebrated on December 24 in the municipality of Bagà and also outside the Natural Park of Cadí-Moixeró, in Sant Julià de Cerdanyola. In a synthetic way, we could say that it is a procession of torches that descends from a certain point on the mountain to the town, where the torches end up burning in one or more bonfires. The Fia-faia is a festival clearly related to the winter solstice, both by the date on which it is celebrated and by the time of day and by the presence of the fire This suggests that its origin goes back thousands of years, probably to the time prehistòrica. In Roman times, the Dies Natalis Solis Invicti or Day of the Birth of the Invincible Sun was celebrated on these same dates, which Christianity later took as the basis for establishing the day of the birth of Jesus Christ, today's Christmas. In several towns in Catalonia it has been documented that before the Civil War of 1936-1939, Christmas bonfires were made that were called "falles " and in Vallcebre this tradition is still maintained, which is called Foc de Nuet.

La Fia-faia es una tradición navideña de origen precristiano que se celebra el 24 de diciembre en el municipio de Bagà y también, ya fuera del Parque Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, en Sant Julià de Cerdanyola. De manera sintética podríamos decir que es una procesión de antorchas que desciende desde un punto determinado de la montaña hasta el pueblo, donde las antorchas acaban ardiendo en una o más hogueras. La Fia-faia es una fiesta claramente relacionada con el solsticio de invierno, tanto por la fecha en que se celebra como por el momento del día y por la presencia del fuego. Esto hace pensar que su origen se remonta a miles de años atrás, seguramente en la época prehistórica. En época romana se celebraba por estas mismas fechas el Días Natalis Solis Invicti o Día del Nacimiento del Sol Invicto, que posteriormente el cristianismo cogió como base para establecer el día del nacimiento de Jesucristo, la actual Navidad. En varias poblaciones de Cataluña se ha podido documentar que antes de la Guerra Civil de 1936-1939, en Navidad se hacían hogueras que se llamaban "fallas y en Vallcebre todavía se mantiene esta tradición, que recibe el nombre de Foc de Nuet. |
