Toelichting
De doeken van Sawu zijn zwart, donkerblauw en roest rood gekleurd. De motieven van de doeken geven de afstamming van de gebruiker aan: van de Hubi Ae, de grote clan of van de Hubi Iki, de kleine clan. Sawu is tevens bekend om de doeken met rozen, bloementakken, vogels en vazen. Deze motieven zijn overgenomen van Nederlandse haakwerk patronen en worden niet gecombineerd met traditionele motieven. Bestemd voor vrouwen uit de Hubi Ae (de grotere bloemen) groep; dat is de hogere adel.
