Description
English: World War I and II memorial by Miltiades Manno (1922). Sandstone column/obelisk with sword, rifle, helmet relief. Bronze shield shaped relief. On top a stone turul bird. Marble plaque with the names of the heroes. Local grade listed sculpture - Királyegyháza, Hungary
Magyar: Királyegyháza, emlékmű I. és II. világháborúban elesettek emlékére (Felállítás 1922, Manno Miltiadesz, ifj. Stibi György (kőfaragó, közreműködő)) Alacsony kovácsoltvas kerítés övezi. A magasra nyúló emlékmű pillére/obeliszkje vörös homokkő. Legfelül egy kiterjesztett szárnyú kő turul áll egy félgömbön. Alatta, a pillér déli oldalának kőfelületére domborművesen kimunkálva egy babérágon két keresztbe tett fegyver (egy kard és egy puska) van, felettük egy katonai sisak. Alatta felirat: A HAZÁÉRT. Lejjebb növényfonat van. Felette évszámok: 1914 - 1918. Alul egy hófehér márványtáblára ezt vésték: A VILÁGHÁBORÚBAN/ELESETT, ELTŰNT HŐSÖK/DICSŐSÉGES NEVEINEK/ÉS TETTEINEK MEGÖRÖKÍTÉSÉRE/ÖRÖKEMLÉKEZETÜL ÁLLÍTTATTA/MAGYARSZENTIVÁN KÖZSÉG/KÖZÖNSÉGE [1] - '1. és 2. világháborús hősi emlékmű' néven Helyi védelem alatt azonosító: +03003 ill.15289 - Baranya vármegye, Királyegyháza, Petőfi utca kb. 64. közelében
