KENT-358965. Buckle. Asymmetrical double loop buckle. Front view.
Description
English: 1575-1700. Copper alloy, cast, medium size, double loop asymmetrical buckle. Length 25.3mm, Width 18.6mm, Thickness 4.5mm, Weight 1.5g. Bevelled inside and outside edges, slightly narrowed strap bar with rusty remains of iron tongue. There are a few remnants of a tinned surface, otherwise pitted and corroded pale green surface. Ref. Buckles 1250-1800, Ross Whitehead, Greenlight Publishing 1996, page 90-92 No. 561 & 562.
