English: GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba – Army Pvt. Timothy Tomasura, 525th Military Police Battalion, left, throws elbow strikes at a pad held by Army Sgt. Michael Hensel during training, Nov. 17. Tomasura and other members of the battalion moved through a series of hand-to-hand combat stations after being sprayed in the face with pepper spray. The 525th MP Battalion is stationed here on 12-month rotations and provides much of the guard force inside the detention facilities at Joint Task Force Guantanamo.

JTF Guantanamo provides support to the Office of Military Commissions, to law enforcement and to war crimes investigations. The JTF conducts planning for and, on order, responds to Caribbean mass migration operations.
