Summary
[edit]DescriptionHydro-electric Power Station, Bearreraig Bay - geograph.org.uk - 829150.jpg |
English: Hydro-electric Power Station, Bearreraig Bay The hydroelectric power station seen here is fed by water from Storr Lochs which cascades down to the turbines via the pipes seen bottom left. There is a cable railway (see other photos) which runs alongside the pipes having a similarly precipitous drop - I'm not sure if humans use it as it would be akin to the start of a roller coaster !
Beyond the power station can be seen the sweep of Bearreraig Bay with the cliffs of Rubha Sùghar beyond that. |
