English: Seaplane transport system designed and built by Harry G. Garland in 1948 for use at Garland’s Seaplane Base on the Detroit River. Electrically-driven transport could move seaplanes to and from the seaplane launching ramps and position seaplanes on the parking apron. Hydraulic system for raising and lowering the seaplane, by lowering and raising the rear wheels of the transporter, is shown in this picture. |
