Summary
[edit]DescriptionFountain - Water feature outside The Wesleyan - Colmore Square (3630064266).jpg |
The fountain outside the Wesleyan building in Colmore Square. The Wesleyan was built in 1988 - 91 for the Wesleyan and General Assurance by Peter Hing & Jones. Pevsner describe it as a poor attempt at post modern, and very big. Central core with a big pyramid roof, and four radiating wings, like a workhouse. Artificial pink granite facings, angled between floors, like the legs of a huge insect. From Pevsner Architectural Guides: Birmingham by Andy Foster. It is also the regional office for solicitors Pinsent Masons. |
