Deutsch: Der Holzstich aus Camille Flammarion: L'Atmosphere - Météorologie Populaire. Paris 1888, wurde nach allen 4 Seiten hin erweitert und koloriert, sodass das ursprüngliche Bild in dieser Version um einen weiteren optischen Bildmittelpunkt, die Sonne, erweitert wird. Neben der zentralen Figur des Mönchs auf der unteren linken Seite des Werkes, wird die ursprünglich am rechten Rand beschnittene Sonne ein optisch zentraler Teil und Blickfang. Dadurch erhält das Werk eine Harmonisierung des Gesamteindrucks.
English: The wood engraving from Camille Flammarion: L'Atmosphere - Météorologie Populaire. Paris 1888, was expanded and colored on all four sides, so that the original image in this version is expanded to include another optical center, the sun. In addition to the central figure of the monk on the lower left side of the work, the sun, originally cropped on the right edge, becomes a visually central part and eye-catcher. This gives the work a harmonized overall impression. |
