TRIPLE ROLLS, with triple pawls in each roll, making the most powerful driving mechanism ever put in a Lawn- Mower. A lever beside the driver enables him to cut any height from the ground. A slight movement of a small lever near the driver throws the Mower in or out of gear without stopping the horse. Self-aligning JOURNAL BOXES. A very valuable improvement, found in no other Mower. They prevent cramping of the journals. It will cut over very rough and uneven ground, and stand very rough usage, and still cut its swath clean and smooth. It has BALL BEARINGS of the very high- est grade, exact to one-thousandth part of an inch, which reduce the friction astonishingly. A new hand implement which for speed and easy work at killing weeds and loosen- ing the soil eclipses everything of the kind or for the purpose that has ever been offered. The blade is 8 inches long, about 2 inches wide, made of fine shovel steel, zigzag in shape and double-edged to cut either when pushed or pulled through the ground. The edges are beveled on top like those of mowing-machine knives. The upturned ends of the blades are 2 inches high and also two-edged, the edges being beveled on the inside.
