Description

Farfield Friends Meeting House, in Farfield, near Addingham, West Yorkshire, England. It stands in a graveyard which dates from 1666, on land donated by yeoman farmer Anthony Myers. The Quaker meeting house dates from 1689, the year of the Toleration Act which permitted nonconformists to worship in their own way.

Since 1994 the building has belonged to the Historic Chapels Trust. Inside the building, the roof timbers and the benches around the walls date from the 17th century. The central benches are modern reproductions.

Showing the interior of the meeting house.
