Afrikaans: Suidooswaartse uitsig vanaf Mesteldam in the Phabenirivier, oor Pretoriuskop-suurveld na Shabeniheuwel, in die suidwestelike Krugerwildtuin. Verskeie jakkalsbessiebome is sigbaar op die walle en 'n familie seekoeie rus op die sandbank by die inloop.
English: Panoramic view of the watering hole looking southeast from Mestel Dam towards the granite dome of Shabeni hill (759 metres (2,490 ft)), 4.3 kilometres (2.7 mi) away on the horizon, in the vicinity of Pretoriuskop in the southwestern Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The veld type is Pretoriuskop sourveld on a substrate of granite and gneiss. Various jackalberries (Diospyros mespiliformis) line the banks of the Phabeni River, a tributary of the Sabie. A party of hippos (Hippopotamus amphibius) are resting on the sandy bank near the intake. "Mestel" is "Swati-english" for "mister" / "master". cf. Floors vd Wateren
