Notable in the this fetus is an extraembryonic coelom in the umbilical cord. Loops of intestine are seen as a bulge of orange material in the cord near its attachment to the abdominal wall. These loops will withdraw at arould week 11. If these do not return, the condition is called an omphalocele |
