Français : Portrait de Catherine II de Russie. Peint par Mlle Rameau ; gravé par F. David en 1773. Buste de profil à gauche, dans un médaillon ovale orné de fleurs et portant le titre en caractères russes, sur un fond rectangulaire comprenant une tablette où on lit, de part et d'autre d'un cartouche aux armes : "Quem virum aut heroem tibi comparare // A l'Impératrice Catherine II. // Souveraine de toutes les Russies // Par son très humble et très respectueux serviteur François David". - Annoncé dans l'"Avant-Coureur" du 25 octobre 1773 (p. 574). - De nouvelles annonces parurent au "Mercure" en mars 1775 (p. 197), dans la "Gazette de France", le 7 avril de la même année et dans le "Journal de Paris" le 20 février 1780 : prix, une livre 10 sols.
