Amun-Min-Kamutef |

Description |
English: The representation of the mummiform Amun-Min-Kamutef with an erect phallus alludes to his role as a fertility god. His right arm is raised in a gesture of rejoicing. The name Kamutef ("bull of his mother") conveys that the god is both father and son and, therefore, self-created. Instead of the god's usual tall, feathered crown, this statuette (a rare example) depicts the god wearing the crown of Upper (south) Egypt, emphasizing his southern origins. |
