Description

Islamabad, January 26, 2012 - The USAID Power Distribution Program, under its Gender Strategy, held an informative talk at Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-6/2 and F-7/2, with the support of female representatives from IESCO. The agenda of the talk was to: • Inform students about the USAID Power Distribution Program and the role of DISOCs in Pakistan. • Educate students and teachers about the effective energy saving methods they can apply at homes, schools and work places.

• Enlighten female students about their workplace rights and inform them about various employment opportunities in the power sector.
