Deutsch: Dieser See liegt im Bereich des Faulenbacher Tals bei Füssen in Bayern. Dieses Tal besteht aus Gipsgestein. Die violette Verfärbung wird durch eine bestimmte Konzentration von Schwefelbakterien verursacht. Sie tritt nur alle paar Jahre auf und hält in der Regel nur ein paar Tage an. Der Geruch nach faulen Eiern liegt dann in der Luft. Hier zu sehen ist der kleine Gipsweiher am unteren Ende des Tals. Ausserdem liegen dort der Obersee, der Mittersee und der Alatsee. Soweit ich weiss, ist das weltweit ein nahezu einzigartiges Phänomen. |
