Description

Drogheda was granted its charter in 1194 by Hugh de Lacy after whom the de Lacy bridge in Drogheda is named. This attractive bridge is one of two pedestrian bridges in Drogheda and it is part of Scotch Hall phase one.

A number of shopping centres and retail parks have developed around Drogheda in recent times. These include Scotch Hall, Laurence Town Centre, Southgate Shopping Centre as well as numerous retail parks, mainly on the western side of the town.
