Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Rheinkamp: „In goldenem (gelbem) Schild ein schwarzes rechteckiges Feld, belegt mit einem durchlaufenden silbernen (weißen) schräglinken Wellenbalken, begleitet oben von neun goldenen (gelben) auf die Spitze gestellten Dreiecken und unten von zehn gleichen Dreiecken.“ Es handelt sich um ein "redendes Wappen" in dem der Wellenbalken den Rhein und das schwarze Rechteck das Feld (-kamp) darstellt. Die Dreiecke stehen für die neunzehn Ortschaften der Gemeinde. Die Farben Schwarz-Gold sind die Farben der Grafschaft Moers zu dem sämtliche Ortschaften Rheinkamps früher gehörten.
English: The arms were officially granted on June 25, 1958. The wavy bend symbolises the Rhein river and thus is a canting element. The black rectangle, symbolises a field, or Kamp, thus also a canting element. The 19 triangles symbolise the 19 villages and settlements in the municipality. The colours were derived from the arms of the Moers County.
