Depicted person: Karl XII av Sverige

Svenska: Mask av gips, avgjutning av exemplar med stort sår i höger tinning. Framsidan målad med gulvit färg. I ovananten en metallögla för att kunna hängas upp.
Flera likande dösmasker i metall eller gips finns svenska museer. Om en motsvarande mask i Armemuseums samlingar anges:
Enligt styresman Olle Cederlöfs anteckningar med anledning av gåva AM.066063 (AM 73/475) är detta inte en dödsmask.
"Proportionerna i ansiktet stämmer inte med kraniets proportioner enl 1918 års gravöppning - utan en av den schweiziske medaljgravören Hedlinger gjord frihandsmodellering inför konungens lik på Karlberg 1718. Hedlingers modell nu endast avsedd att ligga till grund för hans uppdrag: Att modellera en reliefbild för konungens mynt och minnespenningar. Hedlinger anlände till Sverige 1718-. Konungen hade då avlidit och Hedlinger hade aldrig sett Karl XII i levande livet, han tog chansen att fånga konungens ansikte inför 'lit de parade' på Karlberg. Hedlingers 'dödsmask' har senare avgjutits i gips, brons och järn i olika sammanhang."
