Title
Copper-alloy post-medieval shoe buckle, reverse
Description
English: A rectangular copper-alloy buckle, probably a 17th or 18th century shoe buckle. The buckle is 21 mm by 16 mm and is convex in profile. The strap bar is situated in the middle of the frame, and there are two knops on the exterior of the frame at this point. The pin is broken, although part of it remains. A stud chape is also attached to the strap-bar which indicates that the item was used as a shoe accessory. The buckle is plain and undecorated on both of its sides.
