Español: Escudo del Ecuador, decretado el 6 de noviembre de 1845:

Art.1° Las armas del Ecuador serán un escudo ovalado que contenga interiormente en la parte superior el Sol con aquella porción de la eclíptica en que se hallan los signos correspondientes á los meses memorables de Marzo, Abril, Mayo y Junio. En la parte inferior, á la derecha, se representará el monte histórico Chimborazo, del que nacerá un rio; y donde aparezca mas caudaloso, estará un buque de vapor, que tenga por mastil un caducéo, como simbolo de la navegacion y del comercio, que son las fuentes de la prosperidad del Ecuador. El escudo reposará en un lio de haces (fasces) consulares, como insignia de la dignidad republicana: será adornado exteriormente con banderas nacionales y ramas de palma y laurel y coronado por un cóndor con las alas desplegadas.

Art.2° El pabellon nacional se compondrá de tres cuarteles divididos por lineas verticales: el del centro será azul celeste, y blancos los de los extremos, espresando los colores naturales del cielo del Ecuador. En el cuartel azul se pondrán siete estrellas, como simbolo de las siete provincias que componen la Republica.
