Description
English: Filmed by drone from 2022-2023.

The Channeled Scablands of Washington State is an alien landscape resembling the Grand Canyon that was created by massive repeated floods (The Missoula Floods) over thousands of years, and not the slow erosion that geologists historically had thought. The waters rapidly cut through the layers of basalt and left beautiful formations in the cliffs. Geologist J. Harlan Bretz cracked the code of the Scablands formation, yet his research was not acknowledged until decades later
