La campagne Biozaïre, menée à bord de l'Atalante du 15 novembre au 4 décembre 2001 dans le golfe de Guinée, a été développée par l'Ifremer en collaboration avec Total Exploration. L'objectif de ce programme était l'étude de la diversité et du fonctionnement des communautés benthiques en relation avec les principales caractéristiques de l'environnement profond sur des sites de la marge Congo-Gabon-Angola. Sur ces images, les scientifiques mesurent des modioles, des grosses moules caractéristiques des grands fonds.

The Biozaïre campaign, conducted aboard the Atalante from 15 November to 4 December 2001 in the Gulf of Guinea, was developed by Ifremer in collaboration with Total Exploration. The objective of this programme was to study the diversity and functioning of benthic communities in relation to the main characteristics of the deep environment on sites on the Congo-Gabon-Angola margin. In these images, scientists measure modioles, large mussels characteristic of the deep sea.
