[edit]DescriptionCOSMAC ELF CHM.jpg |
COSMAC ELF on display at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View CA. Bill Buzbee built this replica of the prototype that appeared in Popular Electronics (July 1977, page 41.) It has the Pixie graphics display chip (CDP 1861) installed in the upper left corner. The COSMAC ELF was an Experimenters Microcomputer based on the RCA 1802 CMOS microprocessor. The plans for this project were published in Popular Electronics in 1976 and 1977. Photo by Michael Holley, November 2006. Joseph Weisbecker (August 1976). "Build the COSMAC ELF (Part 1)".
