Nederlands: Een stel koperen vingerbekkentjes. Het zijn zg. concussie-idiofonen: soortgelijke voorwerpen worden tegen elkaar geslagen. Ze worden gebruikt als ritmische begeleiding.
Bekkens of cymbalen hebben een lange historie in Azië, het Midden-Oosten, en Europa. De grootte varieert van bekkens, elk in een hand, tot vingerbekkentjes. De laatstgenoemde werden in het Oude Egypte al bespeeld, alsmede door de Grieken en Romeinen (Diagram group, 1976:124). |
