Description

El ministro de Defensa, Jakke Valakivi presidió en la Plaza Cáceres del Cuartel General del Ejército la ceremonia de despedida del General del Ejército, Ronald Hurtado Jiménez, Comandante General del Ejército, quien dejó el cargo después de diecisiete meses de dirigir la institución.

Valakivi hizo reconocer al General del Ejército, Carlos Vergara Ciapciak, como nuevo Comandante General del Ejército, quien tomó posesión del cargo y fue reconocido por la alta oficialidad del Ejército.

La ceremonia contó con la presencia del alto mando del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas, la Marina de Guerra, la Fuerza Aérea y Policía Nacional, además de autoridades civiles
